Platte-Geddes 4, Scotland/Menno/Freeman/Canistota 1

PLATTE — Platte/Geddes scored four runs late to clip Scotland/Menno/Freeman/Canistota in Legion baseball action on Tuesday.

Asher Kott and Hayes DeVries each had an RBI-single while Isaac Leader and Quincy Stephens each drove in a run in the win.

Kenyon Kuiper took the win on the mound in six innings of work, allowing one unearned run on three hits and three walks, striking out eight.
For SMFC, Riley Gall took the loss in six innings pitched, allowing four runs on three hits and two walks, striking out four.

Easton Miller, Kory Keppen and Luke Peters each had a hit in the loss.


Groton 16, Milbank 6 (6 innings)

GROTON — Nick Groeblinghoff drove in five runs as Groton rolled to a Legion baseball win over Milbank on Tuesday.

Groeblinghoff tallied five RBIs on three hits, two doubles, and a walk, Carter Simon had three RBIs on one hit, Karsten Fliehs added two RBIs on a hit and two walks, Alex Abeln recorded two hits and a walk, Gavin Englund had two hits, a walk, and an RBI while TC Schuster, Isaiah Scepaniak, Tristin McGannon and Lincoln Krause each drove in a run in the win.

Englund earned the win on the mound in 4.1 innings, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks, striking out four.

For Milbank, Bennett Hunt took the loss, allowing eight runs on two hits and five walks.

Brady Allen had two hits and two RBIs, Mack Koplin added an RBI on two hits and a walk while Kaleb Lindstrom tallied an RBI on a double and a walk in the loss.


Groton 12, Milbank 11 (5 innings)

GROTON — Lincoln Krause’s walk-off single lifted Groton over Milbank in a Legion baseball doubleheader on Tuesday.

Gavin Englund had two RBIs on two hits for Groton, Isaiah Scepaniak and TC Schuster each had two RBIs while Alex Abeln, Carter Simon, Jarrett Erdmann and Lincoln Krause each tallied an RBI in the win.

Scepaniak took the win on the mound in five innings, allowing 11 runs on seven hits and six walks, striking out six.

For Milbank,  Keaton Johnson took the loss, allowing one run on one hit and two walks in one inning, striking out one.

Mack Koplin had three RBIs on two hits, Kaleb Lindstrom added two RBIs on two hits and a walk, Jaxon Wiese and Brady Allen each had an RBI on one hit while Zach Karges and Mason Allen both drove in a run in the loss.

 

Alexandria 15, Wagner 6

WAGNER — Brayden Bahmuller and Rhoen Marek drove in seven total runs as Alexandria rolled to a Legion baseball win over Wagner on Tuesday.

Bahmuller drove in four runs on two hits and a walk, Marek added three RBIs on three hits and two walks, Kingston Feldhaus added two RBIs on three hits and a walk while Rhett Marek and Conner Endorf each had an RBI on a hit and two walks.

Endorf earned the win on the mound in 5.2 innings, allowing six runs on seven hits and eight walks, striking out five.

For Wagner, Malakai Segura took the loss in five innings, allowing nine runs on eight hits and six walks, striking out two.

Frank Soukup and Trasin Dilts each had two hits and an RBI, Dominic Doom added two RBIs on one hit while Beauregard Otte drove in a run on a hit and a walk in the loss.


Palace City 5, Harrisburg 2

HARRISBURG — Palace City scored runs in five different innings as Post 18 defeated Harrisburg in Legion action on Tuesday.

Jaxson Hartman led PC with three hits, including a double and a solo homer, Kaiden Allen added two RBIs on two hits, Brennen Penne drove in a run on two hits while Dawson Adams added two hits in the win.

Tyler Christensen took the win on the mound in 6.1 innings pitched, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks, striking out four.

For Harrisburg, Andrew Dierks took the loss in five innings pitched, allowing four runs on 10 hits, striking out five.

Wyatt Witwicki had two doubles and two RBIs while Nick Riley and Dalton Wendling each had a double in the loss.


Harrisburg 7, Palace City 6

HARRISBURG — A Nick Riley grand slam in the sixth inning powered Harrisburg over Palace City in Legion baseball action on Tuesday.

Riley drove in five runs on three hits, including a grand slam and a solo homer in the win, Dalton Wendling added three hits and an RBI while Griffin Schlapkohl had two walks and an RBI in the win.

Riley took the win on the mound in 1.1 innings of relief, allowing one hit while striking out three.

For PC, Brennen Penne took the loss in one inning pitched, allowing two runs on three hits, walking one batter as well.

Carter McCormick had two doubles, a walk, and an RBI while Dawson Adams tallied an RBI-single in the loss.


Wheaton (Minn.) 16, Big Stone City 5 (5 innings)

WHEATON — Big Stone City fell to Wheaton, Minnesota, in Legion action on Tuesday.

Nash Kindelberger tossed 1.1 innings for BSC, allowing eight runs on three hits and three walks.

Brody Vangsness and Connor Ohm each had an RBI on one hit while Chase Lovgren drove in a run in the loss.


Brookings 8, Sioux Falls East 0

SIOUX FALLS — Nolan Krogman tossed seven shutout innings as Brookings topped Sioux Falls East in Legion action on Tuesday.

Krogman took the win on the mound in seven shutout innings, allowing two hits and two walks, striking out 10.

Noah Lease and Jay Harris each had two RBIs on two hits, including two doubles by Harris, Jude Meendering added an RBI on two hits, a triple, and a walk, Baker Hanson added an RBI on one hit while Talon Hyde recorded two hits in the win.

For SFE, Colin Lunders took the loss in 3.1 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks, striking out two.

Caleb Bumann and Caden Sporrer each had a hit in the loss.


Sioux Falls East 7, Brookings 4

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls East split a Legion baseball doubleheader with Brookings on Tuesday.

Ethan Knettel had three RBIs on one hit for SFE, Kale Meyer and Jude Timat each had an RBI on two hits, Colin Lunders drove in a run on a double and a walk while Carter Brady tallied an RBI.

Jacob Madsen took the win on the mound in five innings pitched, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks, striking out three.

For Brookings, Noah Lease took the loss in 3.1 innings pitched, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks, striking out four.

Nolan Krogman had two RBIs on two hits, Jase Bauer added an RBI-single while Talon Hyde had an RBI on a walk in the loss.
