MENNO — Three players scored in double figures to lift Avon to a girls basketball win over Menno on Tuesday.

Avon’s Courtney Sees finished with 24 points, while Lila Vanderlei added 14 points. McKenna Kocmich scored 11 points and Grace Vanderlei added seven points. 

Menno’s Ashton Massey scored 13 points and Allison Lehr added nine points. 

Platte-Geddes 62, Chamberlain 35

CHAMBERLAIN — Platte-Geddes jumped out to a 21-9 first-quarter lead en route to a girls basketball win over Chamberlain on Tuesday.

Platte-Geddes’ Regan Hoffman finished with 17 points and eight rebounds. Karly VanDerWerff added 15 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots. Baleigh Nachtigal recorded 15 points and eight rebounds. Cadence VanZee had eight rebounds and four assists. Hadley Hanson had four assists. 

Chamberlain’s Kinsey Evans scored 18 points. Jayna Handel added nine points and Leigha Long scored five points. 

Wolsey-Wessington 57, Kimball/White Lake 48 

WHITE LAKE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 2 Wolsey-Wessington to a girls basketball win over Kimball/White Lake on Tuesday.

Mya Boomsma tossed in 22 points, while Leah Williams added 17 points. Mallory Miller scored 10 points. 

KWL’s Harley Namanny posted 26 points and eight rebounds. Ryann Nielsen scored 13 points and Dani Deffenbaugh added 11 rebounds. 

Sully Buttes 47, Jones County 44

MURDO — Class B No. 4 Sully Buttes outlasted Jones County for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Sully Buttes’ Stevie Wittler finished with a team-high 23 points. Calleigh Chicoine scored nine points on three 3-pointers. Lydia Hill added seven points. 

Jones County’s Jadyn Jensen scored 24 points. Mallory Valburg added 17 points. 

Corsica-Stickney 63, Burke 56

BURKE — Avery Broughton powered Corsica-Stickney to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Broughton logged 28 points, six rebounds and four assists in the win. Payton DeLange added 16 points and six assists. Jacey Kemp finished with five points, while Sutten Eide added five points and four rebounds.

Burke’s Adisyn Indahl recorded 14 points, while Piper Hanson had 13 points. Kailee Frank recorded nine points. 

Scotland 35, Freeman 33

SCOTLAND — Scotland slipped past Freeman in girls basketball action on Tuesday. 

Martina DeBoer finished with 11 points and four rebounds. Jenna Vitek added eight points and eight rebounds. Trinity Bietz logged five points and eight rebounds. 

Freeman’s Kate Miller recorded 11 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Erin Uecker finished with eight points and eight rebounds, while Ashlin Jacobsen had seven points. 

Viborg-Hurley 61, Canistota 48 

HURLEY — Three players scored in double figures as Class B No. 1 Viborg-Hurley picked up a girls basketball win over Canistota on Tuesday.

Coral Mason logged 27 points, six rebounds, four blocked shots and three assists. Estelle Lee added 14 points and four assists. Denae Mach posted 10 points and three assists. Shelby Lyons finished with five points and six rebounds. 

Canistota’s Kayla Papendick scored 14 points. Bailey Spicer and Natalie Becker scored eight points apiece. 

Wessington Springs 71, Iroquois/Lake Preston 65 (OT)

IROQUOIS — Wessington Springs outscored Iroquois/Lake Preston 8-2 in overtime to pick up a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Wessington Springs’ Kate Havlik recorded 24 points and four rebounds. Kirstie Munsen finished with 15 points, six assists and five rebounds. Carissa Scheel logged 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Avery Orth posted 12 points and 12 rebounds. Alyssa Grohs had eight rebounds and five assists. 

Iroquois/Lake Preston’s Adison Moore recorded 25 points and four rebounds. Hadlee Holt added 20 points and nine rebounds. Kera Dubro posted five points. Anna Decker logged five rebounds and four points. 

Centerville 50, Alcester-Hudson 36

CENTERVILLE — Class B No. 3 Centerville picked up a girls basketball win over Alcester-Hudson on Tuesday.

Keira Austin and Bailey Hansen scored 13 points apiece. Thea Gust added nine points. MaKayla Heesch and Lillie Eide scored five points apiece. 

Alcester-Hudson’s Elly Doering recorded 16 points and eight rebounds. Ella Serck posted 10 points and six rebounds. Alexis Gray scored six points. 

Deubrook Area 65, Madison 38

WHITE — Deubrook Area pulled away from Madison for a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Skyla Petersen led the way with 16 points and Brooke Koppatschek scored 14 points. Kadence Browne posted 11 points, while Ellie Koenig added six points. Miranda Moravetz had five points. 

Madison’s Zoey Gerry finished with 17 points. Audrey Nelson netted 16 points and Karley Lurz added five points. 

Dell Rapids St. Mary 69, Hills-Beaver Creek, Minn., 46

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids St. Mary pulled past Hills-Beaver Creek, Minn., for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Ella Griffin finished with 28 points and recorded her 1,000th career point. Madala Hanson added 20 points. 

Parkston 55, McCook Central/Montrose 36

PARKSTON — Parkston pulled away from McCook Central/Montrose for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Parkston’s Berkley Ziebart finished with 21 points and seven rebounds. Gracie Oakley and Mya Thuringer scored nine points apiece. Oakley added three rebounds and three assists, while Thuringer grabbed six rebounds. Abby Hohn added eight points and seven rebounds. 

MCM’s Anna Reiffenberger and Michaela McCormick finished with eight points and five rebounds. Carly Katzer scored seven points. 

Highmore-Harrold 55, Sunshine Bible Academy 20 

MILLER — Highmore-Harrold coasted to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Highmore-Harrold’s Brooke Palmer posted 20 points and six rebounds. Reghan Westcott scored nine points. Autum Fallis finished with seven points and eight rebounds. Kendall Cermak added six points and five rebounds. 

Pierre 40, Harrisburg 30 

HARRISBURG — Class AA No. 3 Pierre topped Class AA No. 4 Harrisburg in girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Pierre’s Reese Terwilliger finished with 10 points. 

Harrisburg’s Jaylee Hofer scored 15 points. 

Huron 45, Sioux Falls Roosevelt 33 

HURON — Huron pulled past Sioux Falls Roosevelt for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Isabelle Ellwein finished with 19 points, while Heavan Gainey recorded eight points. Elizabeth Heinen had five points and four rebounds. 

Roosevelt’s Aubreigh McCall finished with 12 points. Katie Spicer added seven points and five rebounds. Elisabet Assefa logged five points. Brooklyn Koll and Morgan Johnson grabbed five rebounds apiece. 

Sioux Falls Washington 52, Brookings 40 

BROOKINGS — Grace Peterson and Brooklyn Harpe combined to score 24 points to pace Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Washington to a girls basketball win on Tuesday. 

Peterson posted 14 points and seven rebounds. Harpe added 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Claire Woods logged seven points, while Alexus Motley had six points, six rebounds and three steals. Hannah Harpe had six points and four steals. 

Brookings’ Logan Smidt scored 16 points and hit four 3-pointers. Sophia Hammrich scored eight points, while Gracey Sheridan and Kymber Buys posted five points apiece.
