Wessington Springs 54, James Valley Christian 43

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Three players scored 15 points apiece to lead Wessington Springs to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Avery Orth logged 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Carissa Scheel and Kate Havlik also scored 15 points apiece. Alyssa Grohs logged five points, five rebounds and four assists. Kirstie Munsen added seven rebounds. 

James Valley Christian’s Kaylie Robinson logged 14 points and six rebounds. Lily Hofer added 13 points. Abby Hasart recorded seven points and five rebounds. Alexa Goertz posted six points, four rebounds and four assists. 

Winner 66, Mobridge-Pollock 45

WINNER — Three players scored in double figures to pace Winner to a girls basketball win over Mobridge-Pollock on Friday. 

Kylie Sachtjen led the Warriors with 14 points, while Preslie Petersek added 13 points. Josey Kludt posted 12 points. Cora Moss added seven points. Keelie Kuil finished with six points, six rebounds and six assists. Lilly Barfuss had five points and five rebounds. 

Mobridge-Pollock’s Charley Henderson finished with 13 points. Mariah Goehring added 12 points. Emma Keller recorded eight points.

Timber Lake 56, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 30 

EAGLE BUTTE — Jasmine Nash and Carlie Lawrence combined to score 32 points to pace Timber Lake to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Nash finished with 17 points and Lawrence scored 15 points. Kendyl Locken and Shay Kraft scored eight points apiece.

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte’s Alana LeBeau scored 10 points and Tiana Johnson added five points. 

Great Plains Lutheran 50, Waubay/Summit 35

WATERTOWN — Three players scored in double figures as Great Plains Lutheran picked up a girls basketball win over Waubay/Summit on Friday. 

Esta Cameron led GPL with 13 points. Abby Kjenstad added 11 points while Olivia Holmen chipped in with 10 points. 

Eva Benike paced Waubay/Summit with 13 points while Kailee Berger scored 12 points. 

North Central 60, Sunshine Bible Academy 22

ROSCOE — North Central rolled to a girls basketball win over Sunshine Bible Academy on Friday. 

Brittney Frickson finished with 20 points, while Jenisa Jacobs added 11 points. Ella Batie posted eight points. Kaitlyn Hoerner and Amree VanderVorst logged seven points apiece. Lily Beadle had five points. 

SBA’s Lydia Lo and Brielle Jeffery scored five points apiece. 

Centerville 59, Beresford 42

CENTERVILLE — Centerville jumped out to a 21-7 first-quarter lead en route to a girls basketball win on Friday. 

Centerville’s Thea Gust logged 17 points, while Izzie Eide added nine points. Lillie Eide recorded eight points and six rebounds. Brea Austin recorded six points. Keira Austin, Bailey Hansen and MaKayla Heesch scored five points apiece. Heesch had 10 rebounds, while Hansen had seven rebounds.

Beresford’s Ella Merriman scored 13 points, while Autumn Namminga had 12 points and five rebounds. Savanna Beeson had seven rebounds. 

Tea Area 71, Elk Point-Jefferson 40 

TEA — Mara Grant logged a monster double-double to pace Tea Area to a girls basketball win on Friday. 

Grant logged 27 points and a school-record 18 rebounds for the Titans. Kendra McKinney and Katie Vasecka scored 17 points apiece. Vasecka added seven rebounds. Ellie Clayberg scored five points. 

Elk Point-Jefferson’s Kaitlyn VanRoekel had 15 points. Ashley Brewer recorded seven points and Bentlee Kollbaum scored six points. 

Vermillion 61, Parker 35

PARKER — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 2 Vermillion to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Vermillion’s Brooke Jensen scored 17 points, while Leah Herbster added 14 points. Brooklyn Voss finished with 11 points.  

Flandreau 77, Chester Area 41

CHESTER — Lily Klein and Claire Sheppard combined to score 43 points as Flandreau picked up a win over Chester Area in girls basketball action Friday. 

Klein powered the Fliers with 22 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Sheppard finished with 21 points and seven rebounds. 

Emery Larson led Chester Area with 19 points. Emmerson Eppard added 12 points and six rebounds for the Flyers. 

Miller 54, Faulkton Area 27

FAULKTON — Three players scored in double figures as Miller picked up a girls basketball win over Faulkton Area on Friday. 

Morgan Kolda paced the Rustlers with 22 points, two assists and six steals. Tyra Gates added 11 points, six rebounds and five steals while Jaden Werdel scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds. 

Paislee Martinmaas led Faulkton Area with 10 points and two steals while Addison Melius chipped in with seven points. 

Watertown 56, Huron 48

HURON — Watertown held off Huron for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Huron’s Heavan Gainey finished with 19 points and five rebounds. Isabelle Ellwein posted 11 points and seven rebounds. Hamtyn Heinz logged nine points. 

Watertown’s Jaida Young netted 17 points, while Miranda Falconer posted 12 points. Emery Thury and Kendall Paulson scored eight points apiece. Grace Corey added seven points and six rebounds.
