BROOKINGS — Class B No. 1 De Smet outscored Class A No. 1 Sioux Valley 15-7 in the fourth quarter to secure a boys basketball win at the Michael J. Entringer Classic on Friday.

Damon Wilkinson led the Bulldogs with 17 points and six rebounds. Rett Osthus logged 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Kalen Garry added 11 points, four rebounds and four assists. Kadyn Fast and Tory Holland scored six points apiece. 

Sioux Valley’s Oliver Vincent finished with 25 points, four rebounds, four 3-pointers and three assists. Alex Squires added eight points and 15 boards. Hayden Ruesink finished with six points and seven rebounds, while Parker Puetz had six points and six boards. 

Arlington 77, Waverly-South Shore 54

BROOKINGS — Ryker Erstad and Caden Letsche combined for 49 points to lift Arlington to a boys basketball win over Waverly-South Shore at the Michael J. Entringer Classic on Friday.

Erstad finished with 28 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Letsche added 21 points and four boards. Britt Carlson logged 16 points, while Tommy Bacon had five points and five rebounds. 

Waverly-South Shore’s Carter Comes scored 20 points and collected seven rebounds. Landon Maag added 16 points and four rebounds. Dan Dalton and Cooper Schmit scored seven points apiece. 

Castlewood 60, Garretson 35

BROOKINGS — Carson Kirwan and Tristan Nielsen combined for 32 points to power Castlewood to a boys basketball win over Garretson at the Michael J. Entringer Classic on Friday.

Kirwan finished with 18 points and four rebounds. Nielsen added 14 points and four boards. Jackson Schofield finished with six points and seven rebounds. Lane Tvedt had five points. 

Garretson’s Rhett Kloth posted 13 points and six rebounds. Cooper Long recorded 11 points, while Sam Schleuter grabbed six rebounds. Dylan Kindt collected five rebounds. 

Chester Area 67, Lake Preston 26

BROOKINGS — Chester Area used a 12-2 second-quarter run to help secure a boys basketball win over Lake Preston at the Michael J. Entringer Classic on Friday.

Stratton Eppared led Chester Area with 20 points and eight rebounds. Jovi Wolf added 20 points, while Ashton Oliver scored eight points. Ryan Benson and Clay Hansen added six points apiece. Benson also had seven assists and six rebounds. Brayden Vogel scored five points. 

Lake Preston’s Josh McMasters finished with 14 points, while Riley Casper had five points and 11 rebounds. 

Dell Rapids 58, Hamlin 51

DELL RAPIDS — Brayden Pankonen and Landon Ruesink combined for 31 points to help Dell Rapids earn a boys basketball win over Hamlin at the Michael J. Entringer Classic on Friday.

Pankonen led the way with 19 points and five rebounds, while Ruesink added 12 points. Shane Stone scored eight points and grabbed four rebounds, while Jack Henry netted seven points. Camden Justice added six points and five rebounds. Aiden Boechler scored six points. 

Evan Stormo hit six of Hamlin’s 10 3-pointers for 18 points. Tyson Stevenson tossed in 11 points and handed out four assists. Brennan Keszler finished with 10 points and four rebounds. Easton Neuendorf logged five points. 

Deuel 68, Dell Rapids St. Mary 56

BROOKINGS — Deuel used a 28-17 fourth quarter to fuel a boys basketball win over Dell Rapids St. Mary at the Michael J. Entringer Classic on Friday.

Braydon Simon finished with 17 points, finishing a perfect 6 of 6 from the field, 2 of 2 at the 3-point line and 3 of 3 at the free-throw line. Gavin Benck added 13 points and eight rebounds. Cooper Schiernbeck logged 11 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Naethan Lovre had nine points, while Trey Maaland and Zane Bingham scored seven points apiece. Maaland added five rebounds. 

Dell Rapids St. Mary’s John Pica posted 17 points and eight rebounds. C.J. Smith, Dylan Mathis and Ty Brown scored nine points apiece. Nic Gaspar added eight points and five boards. Gabriel Lindeman collected five rebounds. 

Estelline-Hendricks 73, Colman-Egan 46

BROOKINGS — Two players scored in double-figures as Estelline/Hendricks raced past Colman-Egan for a boys basketball win at the Michael J. Entringer Classic on Friday.

Braxton Saathoff led the scoring with 22 points and eight rebounds, while Dawson Bury recorded 15 points. Joseph McAninch scored nine points and Mattix Hausman added eight points and seven assists.

Colman-Egan’s Jack Mousel tallied 11 points, while Levi Baumberger scored nine points. Antonio Manzano grabbed 11 rebounds.

Flandreau 59, Deubrook Area 46

BROOKINGS — Three players scored in double-figures as Flandreau earned a boys basketball win over Deubrook Area at the Michael J. Entringer Classic on Friday.

Chase LeBrun led all scorers with 22 points and eight rebounds. Alex Anderson recorded 16 points, while Tash Lunday tallied 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Andrew Trooien led Deubrook Area with 15 points and 11 rebounds and Nicholas Bowne tallied 12 points and eight rebounds.

Madison 56, Elkton-Lake Benton 50

BROOKINGS — Madison edge Elkton-Lake Benton in a boys basketball game at the Michael J. Entringer Classic on Friday.

Aiden Jensen recorded a double-double of 21 points and 17 rebounds, while Aspen Dahl tallied 16 points. Nate Ricke grabbed nine boards and scored six points. Trey Smith added eight rebounds.

ELB’s Ryan Krog finished with 10 points and seven rebounds. Aiden Erickson, Miles Harming and Riley Hunter scored nine points apiece. Harming hauled in eight boards. Logan Kuehl scored eight points and grabbed four rebounds. Isaac Jaacks recorded five points and nine rebounds. 

Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 53, Baltic 42

BROOKINGS — Oldham-Ramona/Rutland used a 17-4 fourth quarter to secure a boys basketball victory over Baltic at the Michael J. Entringer Classic on Friday.

ORR’s Orion Albertson finished with 17 points and four rebounds. Isaac Trygstad added 11 points, while Will Matson had 10 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Kadyn Gehrels and Wil Olson scored six points apiece, while Olson grabbed six rebounds. 

Baltic’s Jack Erickson tossed in 12 points and added six rebounds. Corbin Wirkus finished with nine points and eight boards. Mark Ditter posted seven points and five rebounds, while James Leffring had five points. Tayden Hansen collected six rebounds, while Matt Muston hauled in five boards. 

Beresford 66, Parker 58

BERESFORD — Three players scored in double figures to lead Beresford to a boys basketball victory over Parker on Friday. 

Tate VanOtterloo finished with 21 points, while Andrew Atwood and Isaiah Richards scored 13 points apiece. Atwood added seven rebounds and Richards grabbed five boards. Ashton Tjaden finished with eight points and 10 rebounds. Jake Goblrsch had six points and six rebounds.

Parker’s Carter Robertson poured in 33 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Davin Fuller added 10 points and 18 rebounds. Landon Beck and Jaivyn DeBoer scored five points apiece. 

Sioux Falls Roosevelt 79, Harrisburg 55

HARRISBURG — Three players scored in double figures to lift Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls Roosevelt to a boys basketball win over Class AA No. 4 Harrisburg on Friday.

Marcus Phillips scored 23 points to lead the Tigers. Hayden Brown and Thoraline Gilo scored 11 and 10 points, respectively. 

Harrisburg’s Jacoby Mehrman netted 14 points, while Max Knutson scored 12 points. Ethan Determan added 10 points. 

Sioux Falls Lincoln 76, Marshall, Minn., 49

MARSHALL, Minn. — Sioux Falls Lincoln turned a two-point halftime lead into a 27-point boys basketball win over Marshall, Minnesota, on Friday. 

Khalil Cisse led the Patriots with 19 points, while Elliot Whitney tossed in 13 points and dished out nine assists. Cameron Jackson scored 10 points.

Corsica-Stickney 54, Tea Area 49

SIOUX FALLS — Class B No. 2 Corsica-Stickney rallied for a girls basketball over Tea Area at the Pentagon Classic on Friday.

Corsica-Stickney, which outscored Tea Area 23-17 in the final quarter, received 15 points and eight rebounds from Casey Tolsma. Rachel Gerlach added 12 points and five rebounds. Morgan Clites logged 11 points, four steals and three rebounds. Avery Broughton finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists. 

Tea Area’s Katie Vesecka finished with 17 points, eight rebounds, four blocked shots, three steals and three assists. Brynn Schupner added 15 points and eight rebounds. 

Sioux Valley 63, Madison 38

SIOUX FALLS — Isabelle Bloker netted 21 points to power Sioux Valley to a girls basketball win over Madison at the Pentagon Classic on Friday.

Bloker added four 3-pointers and three assists. Reagan Johnson finished with nine points and eight rebounds. Kendra Hiltunen added eight points, while Julia Schneider scored seven points and handed out four assists. Talya Vincent scored six points, while Ashley Bjerke had five points and nine rebounds. 

Madison’s Audrey Nelson finished with 12 points and seven rebounds. Karley Lurz logged eight points and nine boards, while Zoey Gerry collected 10 rebounds. Callie McDermott scored nine points. 

Vermillion 44, Hill City 43

SIOUX FALLS — Vermillion outscored Hill City 12-4 in the final quarter to secure a girls basketball win at the Pentagon Classic on Friday.

Kasey Hanson and Brooke Jensen scored 11 points apiece. Hanson hauled in eight rebounds. Leah Herbster added 10 points and five rebounds. Brooklyn Voss scored five points. 

Hill City’s Whitney Edwards scored a team-high 12 points. Lillie Ross scored 11 points, while Maggie Taylor added six points, five assists and 10 rebounds. Alaina Dean scored seven points and Abby Siemonsma scored six points. 

Canton 54, Chamberlain 49

SIOUX FALLS — Amanda Lease’s big performance carried Canton to a girls basketball win over Chamberlain at the Pentagon Classic on Friday.

Lease finished with 30 points and three assists, while Landree Meister added nine points. Brynn Oakland recorded seven points.

Chamberlain’s Mya Knippling scored a game-high 35 points and seven rebounds. Jayd Chmela tallied seven points and Jayna Handel dished out six assists.
