Lakota Tech 53, White River 27

RAPID CITY — Lakota Tech outscored White River 30-10 in the second half to pick up a Lakota Nation Invitational girls basketball win on Friday. The Tatanka will play Red Cloud in the LNI girls championship game on Saturday.

Lakota Tech’s Jodene Hunter logged 14 points and hit four 3-pointers to pace a balanced scoring attack. Melina Shangreaux recorded eight points and seven rebounds. Mya Mills added six points and four rebounds, while Shayla Bravo had six points and seven rebounds. Shania Ferguson and Tawney Rodriguez had five points apiece. 

White River’s Maleena Brave recorded 11 points and six rebounds. Kamaria Krogman logged nine points and five boards. Lily Krogman collected six rebounds. 

Red Cloud 51, Rapid City Christian 49

RAPID CITY — Red Cloud outlasted Rapid City Christian for a girls basketball win and advanced to the Lakota Nation Invitational championship game. The Crusaders will play Lakota Tech in the championship game on Saturday. 

Ashlan Carlow led Red Cloud with 13 points and hit three 3-pointers. Lolo Carlow added nine pointers on 3 of 3 shooting from the 3-point line. Rhionna Brewer logged eight points, while Anjah Lamont and Jewelia LeBeau scored six points apiece. Lamont grabbed six rebounds. 

Rapid City Christian’s Olivia Kieffer recorded 24 points and 12 rebounds. Alexa Ham added seven points and 11 rebounds. Savannah Armendaris added seven points. Brynn Casey and Hayden Thorton scored six and five points, respectively.

Custer 57, Wall 45

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Custer picked up a girls basketball win over Wall at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Friday.

Custer was led by Allyson Cass with 19 points, while Alice Sedlacek had 18 points. Ramsey Karim added 10 points.

Wall’s Nora Dinger led with 12 points, while Paige Kjerstad had 10 points and eight rebounds. April Schulz had nine points, while Alexis Stephan and Rhea Tucker each had six points.

Todd County 61, Pine Ridge 36

RAPID CITY — Julissa Shaw and Lesleen Makes Room For Them combined for 46 points to pace Todd County to a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Friday.

Shaw poured in 33 points, logged seven steals and four rebounds. Makes Room For Them added 13 points and three rebounds. Skye Horse Looking added seven rebounds and six boards. Wimayanwin Neck grabbed seven rebounds. 

Pine Ridge’s Timarie Looks Twice posted seven points. Diane Long Visitor had five points and seven steals. Sierra Black Bull scored five points. 

Dupree 48, Little Wound 38

RAPID CITY — Dupree picked up a girls basketball win over Little Wound at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Friday.

Dupree’s Rylin Rousseau led with 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Chloe Dupree had 13 points and 11 rebounds. Daci Lends His Horse added six points.

Little Wound’s Lalanni Janis scored a game-high 21 points and nine rebounds, while Taiyah Pourier had 10 points.

Lower Brule 55, Marty 37

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures as Lower Brule earned a girls basketball win over Marty at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Friday.

Lower Brule’s Brilyn LaRoche scored 16 points, while Alyssia Fire Cloud tallied 15 points and 10 rebounds. Laci Middletent had 14 points and 18 rebounds, while Courtney Traversie grabbed 10 rebounds.

Marty’s Hawk Bair recorded 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Jayla Bruguier had seven points. Haley Peers added eight rebounds.

McLaughlin 54, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 37

RAPID CITY — McLaughlin pulled away from Cheyenne-Eagle Butte for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Friday.

McLaughlin’s Mari Jo Richards had 22 points and 12 rebounds, while Frankie Archambault had eight points. Holly Miller and Anaya Mellette each had seven points.

CEB’s Tiana Johnson scored 25 points.

Wakpala 59, Takini 26

RAPID CITY — Tyrianna Hawk Bear and Tylene Hawk Bear combined for 45 points to push Wakpala past Takini for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Friday.

Tyrianna Hawk Bear scored 26 points and 21 rebounds, while Tylene Hawk Bear recorded 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Takini’s Halo Waloke scored 11 points, while Anessa One Skunk grabbed eight boards.

Santee (Neb.) 68, Crazy Horse 17

RAPID CITY — Santee raced past Crazy Horse for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Friday.

Santee’s Miley Pike tallied 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Wendy Archambeau recorded 13 points and nine rebounds. Paris Runnels had 12 points, while Malaya Starlin had nine points. Daeonnah Henry added eight points.

Crazy Horse was led by Necaeh O’Rourke with 13 points and 13 rebounds, while America Moran grabbed nine boards.

Omaha Nation (Neb.) 59, Oelrichs 23

RAPID CITY — Omaha Nation (Neb.) used a 32-8 first half to cruise past Oelrichs for a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Friday.

Omaha Nation’s Tylisha McCauley totaled 21 points, while Sylvia Valentino had 10 points and eight rebounds. Dailene Walker had eight points, while Desma Walker added seven points and nine rebounds.

Oelrichs was led by Tlea Rouillard with eight points and seven rebounds, while Amelia Her Many Horses grabbed nine rebounds.  

Tiospa Zina 56, Tiospaye Topa 35

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Tiospa Zina to a girls basketball win at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Friday. 

Alexia Quinn tossed in 20 points and grabbed six rebounds. Kannadee Bissonnette posted 11 points and nine rebounds. Kami Crawford added 10 points, while Maya Deutsch added four points and six rebounds. 

Crow Creek 64, St. Francis 42

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to power Crow Creek to a girls basketball win over St. Francis at the Lakota Nation Invitational on Friday. 

Kharmon Wells finished with 13 points, four rebounds and four steals. Justine Dog Eagle and DeeDrah Drapeau logged 10 points apiece. Drapeau hit three 3-pointers. Ronessa Sazue added eight points and seven rebounds. Makeni Squirrel Coat and Samantha Seaboy scored seven points apiece. Mary Dion added six points. 

St. Francis’ Sharl Kills In Sight finished with 25 points and four rebounds. Cante Anderson added 11 points and 11 rebounds. Leah Bad Hand posted nine rebounds and four points.
